We are a parent-led group for parents and carers of children with a visual impairment in Dorset and Hampshire. At times, the support and understanding of other parents in a similar situation is the best help you can get!

We aim to support each other through medical, emotional and educational hurdles, share information, to raise awareness of certain issues and to empower our children.

We also look to nurture friendships between the children, as we believe that they should have the opportunity to have friendships with both sighted and non-sighted peers.

This website is intended for members of Common Sense, but also for anyone involved with visually impaired children worldwide.

We welcome any donations, but would prefer cheques or BACS at this time due to Paypal fees. Please contact iain@commonsense.me.uk for details. Our huge thanks!
