Actionnaires. Sports groups run by Action for Blind People.
Dorset Actionnaires is a free
sports group for visually impaired children in the area, and their
siblings and friends. Some members of Common Sense attend regularly,
and have a wonderful time. Watch this space for timetables, and
reviews. The club is primarilly aimed at children aged 8 or over, but
many of us take younger children, and just assist the fun. It's a great
chance to try new spoits and activities, and get regular exercise.
Dorset Actionnaires have been taking part in climbing, trampolining and
skiing. The whole group enjoyed a trip to Snowtrax and the chance to
meet the Actionnaires from the Swindon Club. The younger members had a
great time on the ringos and the older members got their first taste of
dry slope skiing with lessons from coaches. Congratulations to all the
Dorset Actionnaires who successfully completed their trampolining
awards levels 1-3.
